Hello everyone.

I hope you have found this website dedicated to the servicemen and women of the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, Australia in all conflicts to be of interest and that you have had your awareness raised to certain topics which you may not have been aware of or had a limited knowledge about.

Some of you may have noticed that a visitor's meter has been installed to record the numbers of visitors to the website.

I urge all visitors to this website to record their 'name' (real or otherwise) and details (eg country) as well as their comments on this 'Website Related' page of the forum.

I am also aware that considerable amounts of text and images are being downloaded from this website.

I have a request to those of you who may be downloading, or intend to download text and images from this website, to first ask permission before downloading any text or images, remembering that 'Copyright' exists on the contents of this website.

Once permission is granted, all that I will ask for is an acknowledgement of Hunter Valley Miilitary History (www.huntermilitaryhistory.net.au) as being the source.

I am aware that considerable downloading has already occurred with the PDF files from the AN&MEF in German New Guinea, Boxer Rebellion and Captain Clarence Smith Jeffries VC pages.

Your assistance and co-operation in these matters is asked for and would be appreciated.

For those of you who may be interested, visitors to the site from Canada, China and the USA as well as Australia, UK and New Zealand, have been recorded on the website's operating system.

Please be sure to sign the guestbook each time you visit and include any comments. To do so, just click on 'Add Reply' to add your name and comments.

Many thanks for doing this, and we look forward to your next visit.

Glory to Australia!!

Hello,
I've registered!
Have only recently researched my Hunter ancestors and found WW1 KIAs and RTAs IKIN and WEISS.
Would you like me to email these details to you ?
Several IKIN graves are to be found in France, also WEISS and DARK.
All these brave men (& boys really) were from Dungog, Clarence Town, Maitland.
Congratulations for "putting it all together" in their memory.
Lest We Forget
