Sunday 7th March to Saturday 13th March 2010
The following Hunter Valley men died as prisoners of war this week during the Second World War of 1939-1945:
South-West Pacific Prisoners of War:
Pte Cecil William Newman, Scone, 88 Light Aid Detachment, 11 Mar 1945
Pte Arthur Allan Taylor, 2/19 Infantry Battalion, 13 Mar 1945
European Prisoners of War:
Nil
May they continue to rest in Eternal Peace.
